Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32
You and God can handle anything together!
You and God can handle anything together! Faith gives us the ability to tackle and undergo any trial. If you take time to look back on your life, and look at what you have done because of your faith you would also see what you haven’t done because of your lack of it!
Faith is what helps us change our desperate or miserable times into moments of worship and praise. Apart from God we can do nothing, but if we take a moment to evaluate the lives of those who are successful in this world… what can we see? We would recognize that they do not have God, but they do have faith. Faith is what makes people go into new relationships, endure terminal illnesses and even change our negative habits. Faith looks like something. Faith is hard to explain, but essentially it is a belief. It is an expectation of good things to come, and that things will turn out just fine.
It’s true that as believers we have a measure of faith, but we are also responsible to cultivate and maintain our faith. Having an understanding of who God is, increases our faith. When we take God seriously at His word, we are able to switch our perspective from struggle to opportunity. When you can’t deal with something, God can handle! And when you can do something, God will have you take those steps of faith so that you can accomplish your to-do list! Learn to make faith your anchor, and what feeds you. When you choose faith, your health will improve, you will distress your life and you will be more courageous!
If we focus on our problems, for some strange reason they end up increasing and make it much more difficult for us to overcome them. What If we were to magnify our hopes and expectations? What if we were to magnify the things for which we are grateful? What if we are to focus on God’s attributes and give Him praise for what He is able to do!? I believe and expect that good things will happen this year, even while the enemy of our souls comes against us, even if our prayers seem delayed and even if our respective situations seem to get worse than better!
Father God, we thank you for the things you have done and we thank you for the things you will be doing today, tomorrow and in the coming days. I pray that you would inject us with higher dosages of faith, hope and confidence in you my God. May we receive responses to our prayers Lord. And may you deliver us from the traps of the enemy, by faith. May we walk in faith, and do great exploits in your name, because of our faith in you. In Jesus name, Amen.
