Devotional 3/16

We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. Hebrews 4:15

When nothing is going right, and everything falls apart, you are good. When everything is going right, you’re still good.

Father God, you are wonderful in all your ways. You are our Father, our eternal, immortal king. You are on your throne, seated and lifted high. You are Jehovah Shammah, El Roi and the Almighty Adonai. We love you Lord, we can thank you for your never ending love and your infallible grace. Thank you for being true to your character Lord God. You said in your word that we have a high priest who is able to sympathize with our weaknesses. You said that you faced everything we have, anything that can happen on this earth- you can relate to it. And so this is why I come before you on behalf of us all.

Glory be to you Lord that we can always come to your holy throne and find mercy, love and grace. I present people who have been waiting for healing, whether physical, mental or emotional, and their faith and hope is wasting away. I present to you those who are indebted and struggling with their finances, those who cannot go to college, to the doctor or even go overseas to visit their family members because they have no money, don’t have the proper documentation or have any form of restriction preventing them, and those who need a job, a place to live, a vehicle, a temple where to congregate. I pray you extend your hand of love, and mercy towards them all. I ask you to encourage them in those ways you know how, may their hearts be open to receive and may your love melt any chains.

I present those who are feeling stuck, or in transition and they don’t know which way to go. I ask you to give them directions, open their eyes so that they may see what you see and where you are. May you strengthen their fault, and open their ears so that they may be sensible to your voice. I present those going through disappointment and heartbreak, and have or are losing desire to seek you. May you cover their minds and hearts so that their hearts are not hardened, and bring joy and restoration into their life.

I present all of us today Lord, if any of us are going through similar trials. I ask you to help us commit to growing in godly character, in prayer, and in choosing faith despite it all. I ask you to cover us in your blood Jesus, and increase our wisdom and discernment so that we may know how to handle each of our trials and temptations, especially to avoid sin. You are our foundation, and you are our shield. I ask you to give us all joy and strength, cover the children Lord. Help this generation see you in the midst of such dark times.

In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
