Leave behind the familiar

The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. Genesis 12:1

Those who have walked through the fire, leave sparks of light wherever they go.

Father God, we thank you for being the one who sets our crooked paths straight, the one who brings water to our dry places. Thank you for bringing freedom and liberation to our lives and our spirits. I pray for us all to have our eyes and ears opened to see and understand.

I present those who will be reading this and give them the insight to move forward in you. I pray for those who have to leave dry places or of contention, and those who need to separate from loved ones or family, and even those who have to move in faith to a new city or job. May we be like Abraham who was obedient because He trusted you Lord God. May our faith be greater than our disbelief. May we not place excuses before you or trust in our own time tables.

I pray that we may not be so concerned with certainty that we miss your move Lord Jesus. May we be like Abraham, who obeyed you Lord and went even though he did not know where he was going. I ask you Jesus for the conviction and strength to obey you at your word, with or without instructions and despite of the consequences or outcomes. You are Alpha and Omega, you are the Sovereign God who knows all things from beginning to end. We are your sons and daughters and we trust your leading.

May we remember your promises, visions and confirmations. Nay we submit our desires and agendas to you Lord. May we lean on you Jesus, and not our own understanding. May we be discerning and wise in your leading. I pray you give us fresh anointing, revelation and vision to move forward. And I pray for exceeding joy in Jesus name. Amen.
