Graduation day

Let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. Hebrews 6:1

When God begins to move you along in life, it’s not an elevator. It’s a step-by-step process.

The Bible says that God is in control. He is sovereign and in control of everything including of leaves falling off a tree. His insight of us and our whereabouts are endless so when God says GO, we’d better listen.

The Lord God gave the Israelites Manna (bread from heaven) and water (from rocks and rivers) throughout their wilderness journey. But when they reached the Promised Land, it was expected that they learn to feed themselves and fight for their territory. Such is God with us, we go from glory to glory and faith to faith. We can’t continue to feed on mommy’s breasts once we become school aged children.

The Lord knows what is around the corner before we can even imagine it. He also knows our spiritual capacity better than we could ever understand. Its time to stop going over and over the elementary things of the spirit as babes and elevate. Let’s be led by the spirit of God who has equipped us with all we need for life and godliness.

Father God we love you and are grateful that you never give up on us, even when we mess up or dare to give up on you. I ask you for strength, wisdom and discipline to so that we pursue the version of us who You have designed for us to be. May we fight with You on our side, and not against you. Help us defeat any and all enemies that come against Your will for our lives! In Jesus name, Amen!
