We have all these great people around us as examples. Their lives tell us what faith means. So we, too, should run the race that is before us and never quit. We should remove from our lives anything that would slow us down and the sin that so often makes us fall. Hebrews 12:1 ERV
The time has come to lay that baggage down and leave behind all the struggling and striving. You can be set free as you journey forward into a balanced healthy and rewarding future.
We were created for His purpose and glory. In other words the Lord is on our side so that our lives may bring Him glory.
In Matthew 11:28 the Lord invites those who are tired to come to Him: He says unite to me and give me your burdens, instead, carry my burdens which are light. Hebrews 12 says in order for you to run successfully, you will have to let go of the sin that entangles you and the weights which hinder you!
But how often to we take on things which do not belong to us? We must release:
- and, ultimately the setbacks and disappointments of our pasts.
The lord is able and most importantly, willing, to make us free and whole. This is His nature. The all knowing God of our lives knows that life happens while we are busy making plans, so He asks us to cast our cares on Him. Will you?
Father God, we thank you for bringing us this far. You brought us this far not to forsake us but to strengthen and help us move forward. We know that you are for us and not against, so we thank you for your unmerited grace. Thank you Jesus. I pray for healing in our hearts and the disposition to release all the weights that may hinder us to glorify your name. Help us in any areas we may have of unbelief. In Jesus name, Amen.
