Take heart!

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33

A man of courage is also full of faith.

Marcus Tullius

The Lord told us that we would go through suffering. He mentioned we would experience challenges and face trials. He also told us to take heart.

The word of the Lord is prophetic and must come to pass. We know that Matthew 24 says that ‘there will be rumors of wars, pestilence, famine and earthquakes”. And the Lord told us to take heart and to not fear. He is reminding us today, that He has already overcome the world. We too are overcomers, when we place our faith in Christ.

We can accept the bad things that happen in the world because we can trust the God who is in control. Job said, how can we accept the good from God yet not accept the bad? This is the conviction we must have in the face of struggles. We can rest in the lord because when we are weak He is strong. He holds us in the palm of His hand. He holds our hands up in victory through all of life’s challenges.

Let’s pray:

Father God, we thank you for giving us your Spirit. Thank you for strengthening us by the power of your might. I pray for the people who are struggling in their faith right now. May we come to a deeper understanding and revelation of your prophetic will. I present health care workers to you Jesus and ask you to give them joy, because the joy of the Lord is our strength. I give you glory for your love and mercy. In Jesus name, Amen.
