Anger is the result of other emotions; it is primarily a protective response to:
- feelings of fear, sadness and hurt.
- having our standards violated; like betrayal, deception, blackmail, and other things we consider crossing the line.
- having blocked or unmet expectations; in other words, disappointment.
In order to conquer anger, we must first understand anger and then make decisions that benefit our lives and the lives of those around us. Anger is a common and normal emotion. Although, it needs to be managed and controlled, much like any other emotion.
If we do not control anger, it will control of us.
He who is slow to anger is better than a warrior, and he who controls his temper is greater than one who captures a city.
