It is very important to release and renew our mindsets when we are in deep sorrow or struggling with debilitating thoughts. We know that God and has our best interest in mind.
Our keys to receive healing lies in our willingness to forgive. We give up our power to be judge over what others have done against us. Forgiveness is not earned and it does not excuse the offenses committed against us; but it is a key that enables us to receive from God. The lack of forgiveness builds walls of bitterness, judgement and guilt between others, God and ourselves. Refusing to forgive will stunt our spiritual and emotional growth. Refusing to forgive, blocks your prayers!
When we forgive others and ourselves, we step into the peace that God has for us. The scriptures say that we should forgive others, and if we do not then the Lord cannot forgive us. It’s impossible to have peace, if we do not have peace with God!
So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Father God, thank you for forgiving us and not withholding your love from us. My prayer is that all your sons and daughters, may receive conviction and strength by your Holy Spirit to forgive. I pray your peace overpowers any tormenting thoughts and fills their hearts. In Jesus name, Amen.
